“I used to be a teacher. I liked being in the classroom but the lifestyle of a teacher didn’t fit me. Grading and planning and stressing all the time took its toll. Behind the bar, I’m myself all the time, unapologetically so. I’m honest, I’m creative, I’m present. I’ve parlayed bartending into an amazing network of friends and colleagues, mentors and mentees around the country. I’ve tapped into something larger than myself, and it feels right.
